Gone Phishing is an engaging 3D educational game for the web, developed in collaboration with Outplay Entertainment and Abertay University. This project is designed to teach phishing awareness to elders who use computers but may not be familiar with online scams. Accessible on both computers and mobile devices, the game offers seven levels, with players getting one daily chance to control their character and achieve the highest possible score.
The main objective is to clear the email inbox while earning points by identifying and eliminating phishing threats. Players use their surroundings, spot errors in emails, and stay vigilant against hacker traps to improve their awareness. Featuring our self-developed AI technology, the game dynamically generates realistic and adaptive phishing emails that evolve based on different player profiles, creating a personalized learning experience.
Gone Phishing also has a published research paper, which you can read here:

Gone Phishing has captured attention beyond the gaming world, sparking interest from the Scottish government, which has explored the possibility of integrating the game into schools and elderly education programs.
This initiative aimed to leverage the game's engaging approach to teach the public about cyber security, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and avoiding phishing scams.
Unfortunately, there have been no recent updates about the government's plans, but the interest highlights the game's potential impact as a valuable educational tool for enhancing cyber safety awareness among vulnerable groups.
